Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Sichta, the AI-readiness check for Shopify. Installing or using the app means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to hide behind.

Sichta is operated by:

1. The service

Sichta reads your Shopify store's product and configuration data, scores how ready it is for AI shopping agents, generates llms.txt and agents.md, and can apply optional fixes you choose to run. It is a diagnostic and content tool. You are responsible for your store, your catalogue, and your legal obligations to your own customers.

2. What we do not promise

We verify readiness, completeness and correctness — measurable, technical facts about your store. We do not promise rankings, visibility, traffic, or sales in ChatGPT, Gemini, or any other AI system, and no one honestly can. Third-party AI systems decide independently what they recommend. The readiness score and the answerability score are measures of your data, not forecasts of an outcome.

3. Plans, billing and trials

Sichta offers a free plan and paid plans (Starter, Pro, Agency). Paid plans are billed through Shopify Billing on your Shopify invoice, in the amounts and intervals shown in the app at the time you subscribe. Paid plans include a 14-day free trial unless stated otherwise; if you cancel during the trial you are not charged. Charges are handled by Shopify under Shopify's terms; we do not see or store your card details. Prices may change with notice; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

4. Fixes are yours to run

Optional fixes (the llms.txt redirect, alt-text generation, the structured-data embed) are applied only when you trigger them, through Shopify's own APIs, and can be reviewed first. Every fix is journaled and can be undone from within the app for 30 days. You remain responsible for reviewing what a fix changes on your live store.

5. Acceptable use

Use Sichta only for stores you own or are authorised to manage. Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or resell the service, and do not use it to process data you have no right to process. We may suspend access that threatens the service or other merchants.

6. AI snapshots

The optional AI-snapshots feature runs only after you give explicit consent in the app, and sends a small amount of public information about your store to EU-resident AI providers, as described in the Privacy Policy. Their answers are generated text and may be inaccurate or vary between runs; treat them as indicative, not authoritative.

7. Availability and disclaimer

We work to keep Sichta available and correct, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Scans depend on data Shopify and your storefront return and on third-party systems we do not control. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost sales, or lost data. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using Sichta and uninstall it at any time. On uninstall your shop's data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate access for breach of these terms or where required by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version, and material changes are noted in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, and the courts of Lugano have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
